6 cuts on the Tibbe 4 possible depths (1, 2, 3, 4) but 1 of the cuts always has to no. 4 So 4x4x4x4x1 therefore I make is 1024 possibilities, but I do stand to be corrected.

Not done the maths so I dont know how these figures were got and I'm not saying there wrong but, Your never going to get 111114 or 4444441 or much like it in between.

Many thanks for the replies. I didn't need the answer to the question, it was to settle a debate we had about the possible number of cutting codes and if there was a way of calculating the number. (Granddaughters A level maths)

In reply to lee's question how do you know,
If i look at my silca skp software it lists available codes as 1 to 2330 and this infomation is supplied to silca by the lock manufacturers so should be correct.
